1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a ride with Green Cab Taxi through our phone dispatch line, website, or mobile application, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as applicable City of Seattle and King County taxicab regulations.
2. General Booking & Payment Rules
- Dual Payment Options: We accept both cash and digital payments. Cash must be paid directly to the driver at the end of the trip. Digital payments (credit/debit cards and mobile wallets) are processed securely through our app or in-vehicle terminals.
- Advance Reservations: Users can schedule rides for a precise future time. You are responsible for providing exact pickup addresses, flight details (for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport pickups), and specific time instructions.
- Upfront Pricing: Rates are calculated based on standard city-metered tariffs or flat-rate zones (such as downtown Seattle to Sea-Tac Airport) as mandated by local laws. Tolls (e.g., SR 520 bridge or SR 99 tunnel) will be added to the final fare. [1]
3. Delays, Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Driver Delays: If a Green Cab Taxi driver exceeds the maximum stated arrival window or fails to honor the precise pickup time specified in your reservation notes, you have the right to cancel the ride completely free of charge.
- Automatic Reimbursement: In cases of operator service failure, any digitally prepaid amounts or authorization holds will be fully refunded to your original payment method within 3 to 5 business days. No cancellation fees will ever apply if the delay is caused by the carrier.
- User Cancellations: On-demand rides cancelled more than 5 minutes after a driver has been dispatched may incur a fixed cancellation fee. Advance reservations must be cancelled at least 1 hour before the scheduled time to avoid a late-cancellation charge.
- No-Show Policy: Drivers will wait at the designated Seattle pickup location for a maximum of 10 minutes. If you do not present yourself, the ride will be marked as a no-show, and a standard no-show fee will be charged to your card on file or billed to your account.
4. Lost & Found Policy
- Limitation of Liability: Green Cab Taxi is not responsible for personal items left behind in vehicles.
- Item Recovery: If an item is found, we will coordinate with the driver to secure it. You may pick it up at our designated Seattle office free of charge, or request the driver to deliver it to your address for a standard delivery fee to cover their time and fuel.
5. Limitation of Liability & Local Ordinances
- Missed Connections: While we strive for absolute punctuality, Green Cab Taxi is not liable for consequential damages—including missed flights at Sea-Tac, train departures at King Street Station, or crucial business appointments—resulting from unpredictable Seattle traffic, accidents, weather conditions, or gridlock.
- Local Compliance: These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington and specific ordinances enforced by the City of Seattle Consumer Affairs unit.
